August 2021 saw Flying Start return to what they do best – supporting families, encouraging communication and learning for children in Luton.
With a series of five craft and activity sessions at locations across Luton, events were themed to tie in with the Talking Takes Off Places and Dreams benches.
Aaron Spendelow from A Children’s Story facilitated sessions with crafts and activities for early years children to join in. The Flying Start team were delighted to be working with families again after the long Covid enforced break, and came out in force to participate with the themes of Space, Pirates, Dinosaurs, Unicorns and Rainbows, and finally Animals and Explorers.
Feedback from families showed us how grateful they were to have the opportunity to participate once again in group activities that are such an important part of every child’s development:
Thank you so much for all your hard work, truly grateful to have participated this summer.
A special mention of all the staff/members present. Incredibly helpful and everyone was ever so warm and understanding. Your smiles, patience, offering to help without having to ask, a sense of care and warmth was the fundamental reason why we decided to attend as many sessions as we could. You were all so wonderful. Thank you for your hard work in such difficult times. We look forward to future events with you.
I really love the flying start team – they are always so supportive, helpful and kind. For a new mum like me – I couldn’t have asked for anything more! Great team – keep it up! X
