Talking Takes Off Drop in with a Speech and Language Therapist

Although we aren’t running our face-to-face sessions at the moment, our speech and language therapist, Deborah, is still able to talk to you about your child’s talking and listening skills over the phone if you have concerns.

The service is suitable for children who are not already known to the Speech and Language Therapy Service and for those with early concerns about their child’s talking.

‘Talking Takes Off for Communication’ course

This is a 6 week programme of fun workshops aimed at improving communication skills for parents and children.

Attendance is by invitation from your health visitor, children’s centre or early years setting staff, when there is an identified need for some additional support.

Families receive some free resources to use at home and information to support the home learning environment.

This group is a group for emerging communication and language needs with a focus on 2 year olds and is bookable at Flying Start Children Centre sites, supported by PEEP trained practitioners.

These groups will also be offered through Maintained Nurseries in Luton in the longer term.
