Child Safety: Pregnancy
Pregnancy is a time for planning for your new arrival, choosing names, room décor and buying nursery products for your new-born. However, we know that sometimes it can be a bit confusing with so many got-to-have products on the market. We encourage parents-to-be to think about baby safety and choose wisely as not everything that is sold is safe for the intended purpose and sometimes it’s easy to follow what other parents have recommended BUT this could unintentionally put baby at risk. We share unbiased evidence based information to help parents make informed choices.
- Does the product meet current safety standards?
- Is the product recommended by health practitioner, if not, WHY?
- How safe are second-hand products?
- What to look for when choosing nursery products & toys
- The 3 Key message from Tubes of Life and how following these can protect baby and promote healthy brain development
- Safer sleep and what this looks like
