Free Online Parenting Courses (Solihull Online): Understanding Your Pregnancy, Birth, Labour and Baby (antenatal course)

There are courses are for ALL Luton parents-to-be, parents, grandparents and carers of any child from the antenatal period right up to 18 years of age.

- Type in the access code: HATTERS
- Create your account using your email and Luton postcode and choose a password.
- Select the course you want to do from the dashboard (you can do them all over time)
- Once you have registered, you have non-expiry access to these courses that can be completed at a time and place that suits you. They work on most PCs, tablets and mobile phones and work best with Google Chrome.

- Responses to any questions will be anonymised and you will not receive any marketing emails but just congratulatory emails when you complete a module.
Bump (Early pregnancy)
This early pregnancy programme will support you with having a healthy pregnancy and looking after yourself and bump. This 3 week online programme covers eating well for a healthy pregnancy, keeping active and getting ready for labour and looking after yourself and bonding with baby during your pregnancy.
Suitable for: pregnant women and partners in the first or second trimester of pregnancy

Birth and Baby stuff (Later pregnancy)
This later pregnancy programme is for first time parents to be in the third trimester of pregnancy. The programme is delivered in person and will support you with key information around labour and birth and caring for your new-born baby, as well as providing a great opportunity to meet other parents to be. Delivered in partnership by midwives, health visitors and family workers the programme will cover labour and birth information, responsive feeding, baby’s brain development, looking after yourself and your baby. The programme runs as a 3 week course or a one day course, see options below.
Suitable for: For first time parents in the third trimester of pregnancy (from 28 weeks)
Course details:
- Tuesday 4th, 11th and 18th July- 5pm to 7pm at Flying Start Park Town Centre (Bailey Street, LU1 3DU)
- Saturday 29th July- 9.30am to 3.30pm at Chaul End Community Centre (515 Dunstable Road, LU4 8QN)
- Please note this full day course doesn’t include lunch so please bring a packed lunch with you
- Tuesday 1st, 8th and 15th August- 5pm to 7pm at Flying Start in Hockwell Ring Community Centre (Mayne Ave, LU4 9LB)

KEEPING BABY SAFE WORKSHOP
Safe at Home offer free advice and support to expecting and new parents in Luton in a small group session- currently run on zoom. Those who attend and provide feedback receive a FREE child safety gift bag.
